When the pace quickened, Chloe dug her hands into the sheets, tearing at them. The pleasure was taking her, making her abandon every bit of her that told her to take it slow. She let Elias control the pace, but matched it, rolling her hips to meet every thrust, quickly losing any modesty she had left.

Vanor pulled away to look at her, kneeling beside her and pulling her in for a crushing kiss. The thought of him watching them together made Chloe moan, especially as the commander's eyes traveled down her body, observing her with burning lust.

"You look gorgeous," he told her, his hands pulling at her hair, baring her throat to his mouth.

He kissed her there as Elias continued to pound into her with a brutal rhythm, his hands pulling her down on his long cock, filling her like he'd promised. His cock was bigger than any Chloe had ever taken before, but she wanted it, needed him to take her pussy. To shape her after his cock for many, many days to come.

There was pain, too, but it was absolutely overshadowed by how utterly amazing it felt to be spread apart by a cock that huge. This time, Chloe was certain she was going to pass out from pleasure alone.

Vanor kissed her lips again, making her moan loudly when he rubbed her clit while she was still being fucked by Elias, working her closer to her orgasm that approached with intimidating force.

"Go on," Elias growled to her, a frozen grin on his face telling her he was as close as she was. "Tell me how good it feels to take my cock. I can feel how much your pussy needs my seed."

Chloe whimpered, unable to reply before Vanor released her for just long enough to breathe.

"Yes," she sobbed. "I love your cock, I need it – harder! I won't break, I promise, I want to feel all of you, everything you can do to me..."

Elias' eyes flashed, taking her challenge for what it was. He lifted his hips off the bed a little, making Chloe feel like she was riding a mechanical bull that never tired, throwing her around and threatening to leave her numb for days.

He pounded into her and Chloe screamed, Vanor leaning in to kiss the whimpers of pleasure from her mouth.

"You have no idea how good you look," he whispered to her. "I will make you lose whatever control you have now when I'm inside you, taking your sweet pussy..."

Chloe wanted to respond, but Elias didn't let the commander's promises go unanswered. He pulled her forward, away from him, and kissed her, his cock slamming into her with punishing pace. She screamed his name when she cummed, her body shivering from head to toe in the throes of ecstasy as Elias' warm seed spilled into her.

She barely got a moment to rest before Elias rolled them over, capturing her lips in a long, lingering kiss and pulling out of her. Chloe's body hadn't yet even recovered from her orgasm when Vanor laid down on top of her, pushing himself inside.

She moaned, spreading her legs to take his cock as deep into her as she could. The grin on Vanor's lips was like the cracking of a marble statue. It was exhilarating, to know she was doing that, she was taking down the barriers of a man who never lost control.

"You wanted it harder," the commander said, his lips brushing over hers. "As you wish."

Chloe sobbed, feeling her body shake under the ruthless rhythm Vanor set, fucking her into the mattress beneath her. She clawed at the sheets, moaning long and hard as the commander took her, bringing all the pleasure back in an instant.

She cried out when Vanor's large cock pierced her, pushing the walls of her pussy apart to give him room, making her squirm. To be fucked as hard as the warlords could was what she'd asked and it was what she received.

Chloe could barely feel her legs as Vanor took her closer to the edge with each thrust, making her head spin with desire. She'd cummed only moments ago, yet it seemed like she was back in the storm that had wrecked her before.

Vanor pulled back, lifting her legs on his powerful, wide shoulders. Chloe cried out at the change of angle, her feet shaking in the commander's firm grip as he thrust himself inside with barely a second's rest.

Elias knelt down beside her, leaning in to kiss her deeply while his fingers ran circles around her nipples, teasing her sensitive flesh. She moaned, letting the warlord kiss her deeply, his tongue exploring every corner of her mouth as Chloe tossed on the sheets, aching to cum again.

"You are absolutely stunning," Elias said, looking at her as Chloe barely had any breath left to moan. "Our queen. It's a good thing no one else will ever see you like this or they would fight us to the death for you. That passion in your eyes, the way your body arches when we take you... men would die for this, gladly."

"I don't want them to," Chloe panted.

She was looking at both warlords when Elias pulled back to let her see them both, although he never took his hand from her breasts, caressing her.

"I want only you," she whimpered, amazed she was still able to form words. "To take your cocks, just like this... Vanor!"

The commander's eyes burned, his hands slipping on her wet skin. Chloe was losing herself, all of herself, to the pleasure of them. She saw Elias grow hard again, his cock standing tall and firm so soon after his release.

She didn't think she had the strength to take him again. Already, the mind-blowing ecstasy of being fucked by the two of them was draining all power from her in the most amazing way.

Seeing that she was close to her orgasm, Vanor slowed his pace a little to thrust, deep and hard, right at the core of her pleasure. Chloe moaned, her body trembling around his hard shaft.

"You are ours," the commander groaned, his body shaking in the throes of his own approaching climax. "Ours forever."

"Yours," Chloe whispered, her eyes rolling back when the second orgasm took her. "Yours, yes, yes! Take me! I need your seed in me–"

She ran out of words, cumming as hard as before, feeling her limbs shiver in the flow of passion through her. Vanor thrust into her for the last time and she cried out, her head thrown back as her pussy milked every last drop of cum from his cock.

Vanor's eyes were like looking into the sun, burning with passion for her as he grunted, low and sexy. Chloe could feel his hot cum mixing with Elias' in her pussy.

All three of them searched for their breath and words when they were done, but none were needed. After giving her a moment to relax, Vanor lowered her legs back to the bed. She was so spent she couldn't have done it herself, feeling like a marionette with her strings cut.

As she laid on the sheets, loving the feel of their coolness against her hot flesh, there was only one thing in the whole universe Chloe knew as a fact.

  Their union was complete.

She had to give credit to her "boys", too. They didn't ruin the moment by pointing out the obvious, merely made sure she was happy and satisfied. Elias sent for something nice and cold to drink and Chloe considered breakfast, musing that after such a workout, they all needed to snack a little.

A second round soon, perhaps, she thought.

When the tray arrived with chalices and complementary snacks, Chloe giggled, thankful that someone in the palace at least had a mind to account for appetites.

She raised the cup to her lips and took a sip.

Her last thought was that it tasted rather sweet and then the world went dark. Chloe could feel herself falling from the bed.

The last thing she heard was a roar from two throats:

  "CHLOE!"

  16

  Elias

  No. Not now. Not ever!

In one moment of absolute horror, everything was clear to Elias. And nothing more than that he and Vanor only had themselves to blame for letting their happiness over Chloe staying cloud their watchfulness.

"Stay with her!" he bellowed to Vanor.

Grabbing his sword, rushed out of the room with nothing but a long shirt and shorts on.

"Healer, now!" he ordered the guards behind the door.

He stayed only long enough to see them rush away to get help for Chloe.

Then he ran on towards the palace kitchens. It would have been careles
s to go alone if he'd presumed he would have to fight a warrior, or if he'd thought so little of his martial prowess, but neither was true. It was no warrior he hunted.

Elias caught up with the man who'd brought them the tray with four steps. Hearing footsteps behind him, the servant turned and the warlord saw naked fear flaring to life in his eyes.

"My lord..." the man managed, before Elias seized him by the throat.

He lifted the man up bodily, slamming the green-eyed Haverin against the wall with little care of how much he was hurting him.

So little gold in his eyes, almost none.

"Did you know?" Elias snarled, his sword at the man's throat, pushing a bit further than absolutely necessary.

It was hard to control his temper.

The last image of Chloe he remembered was how pale she was, like life was leaving her and taking all the color from her cheeks with it.

A trail of blood trickled down his sword.

"My lord," the man croaked, "I swear I don't know what you're talking about... is something wrong?"

Elias snarled. He saw no lie in the man's eyes, but if he found out he had but suspected something, the warlord was going to have him executed in one of the less fun ways.

It didn't matter, not in that moment, not when the servant was clearly not the mastermind of the operation. Elias wanted a name.

"Who gave you the tray?" he demanded, his voice rough and threatening. "Was there someone in the kitchens who isn't normally there?"

"My lord, Lady Leah came by to express her gratitude for everything the previous king had done for her, but there has been no one else," the servant hastened to explain. "Our guards are always vigilant–"

Elias dropped him, running towards the kitchens. He cursed himself, but Leah above everything else.

He'd expected a move from her, he really had. The warlord had even warned Vanor to keep his eyes open. It was painfully obvious neither one of them had predicted such a sudden and drastic action. In addition to her treachery, Leah was abusing her station once again, but this time not as a female, the protected class of the Haverins.

The people who worked in the palace were famously loyal to the crown, almost to the point of worshiping the actual throne. They served the king and queen, always had, and carried on that loyalty past the point of death.

Leah knew that, everyone on Corolon knew that. She had used the devotion of those poor people, preaching her love for Elias' late father to make them like her better. Then she had used that to try and poison his fated. The future queen.

That conniving bitch, Elias thought, gritting his teeth.

Rushing through the hallways, his heart ached to be back with Chloe, yet Elias knew he was as good as useless with poisons. All young lords learned about the deadly drinks and could recognize and even heal some of them, but he was no healer. The drink that had been brought to Chloe hadn't tasted or smelled like any of the poisons he was familiar with.

Even as he neared the kitchens, Elias could still feel the poison in his own veins, but he and Vanor were safe from them. The golden eyes weren't just signs of rank and power, they were also proof of their genetic gifts. As soon as Elias had recognized that the drink was unnatural to his body, he'd repelled the effects, his body fighting against the poison.

Chloe had no such protection. Even though she had been given something to withstand the different drinks and foods of Haverin origin, no one could have protected her from all the poisons.

He charged into the kitchen, looking around with furious eyes, bidding his temper to cool and judge the situation correctly. All eyes were on him, staring at the warlord, dressed in almost nothing as opposed to the heavy armor he was usually seen in. He could see some females stare with unmistakable surprise and desire. After finding Chloe he barely noticed them.

"Where?" he snarled a single word.

Fingers pointed at the door leading away from the palace, into the garden maze. If Leah thought to escape by that route, she was badly mistaken. Elias had grown up in the palace when his father was king and they had been the first training grounds of the young warrior.

He rushed into the garden, hearing Chloe scream through an open window. It physically hurt to hear her so pained, but Elias made himself go on. At least she was alive to feel pain, which meant she could still be cured.

Never again, he swore. We will never let this happen again, if she forgives us this time...

The unwelcome thought crushed his heart as he noticed Leah in front of him, walking as if she was nothing but a guest there, certain in her shield of womanhood.

What if Chloe leaves after this? We promised to protect her. We failed.

Blood-hot rage filled his soul as he marched to Leah, who turned to him with a smile Elias ached to wipe off the widow's face. If that woman cost them Chloe, there would be no place in the galaxy where she could run from Vanor and him.

"Is she dead?" Leah asked without any shame.

Elias stopped dead in his tracks. If Leah was a man, a warrior and his equal, she would have been trying to breathe through a broken windpipe at that moment, but she was not.

For once, it didn't mean she was safe. Leah had crossed the line. She clearly didn't know it yet.

"She lives still," Elias said, seeing the look of disappointed fury on the widow's beautiful features, twisting her into the evil creature that she was. "You should pray she survives or you will regret the day you were born."

Leah laughed even as Elias heard guards rushing closer, no doubt sent by Vanor to help him search for the culprit.

"She is a stranger here," the widow said dismissively. "People might be mad, but they will forget everything once the duel comes. Then everything will revolve around the new king. I know it will be you, Elias. I've always known. If you come to your senses, I will be here."

Her misguidance was absolutely staggering, yet perhaps it was her unshakeable conviction that made his words that much sweeter.

"I'm afraid you're wrong," Elias said, another scream echoing across the gardens from Chloe’s window. "Things are changing on Corolon, forever. There will be no duel, but have no fear. I will be king. My first order will be to execute you for treason. Hope that I don't have to add the charge of murder to that, or your death won't be pleasant."

He addressed the guards, turning away from Leah. She was looking at him with wide eyes filled with disbelief and horror.

"You can't do this, Elias!" she snarled as she was caught by the warriors. "This will never work!"

"You are wrong," the warlord said, walking back to the palace and leaving her behind for good. "You always were."

Leah's angry curses fell away as he picked up his pace and started running back.

There hadn't been any screams for minutes now.

  17

  Vanor

Vanor caught Chloe before she could hit the floor.

His fated's beautiful hazel eyes were lifeless, fluttering closed as she went paler than the moon. Elias stormed out of the room, telling him to stay and guard her. Like he needed to be told that. No force could have dragged him from Chloe's side at that moment.

The commander trusted Elias – a very unfamiliar feeling – to catch the killer if there was still someone to apprehend.

There was some clamor outside, but he didn't pay it any attention. All that mattered to him was the female lying in his arms.

It was horrifying how fast the course of life could change. The room was still hot and smelled of their lovemaking, but the joy and sublime desire on Chloe's face was gone. She lay too peaceful for his comfort, waiting to live or die, and so did Vanor.

He couldn't imagine going on living with her gone. The commander finally understood the people who went into voluntary exile after the death of their mate.

Even the possibility of Chloe dying was almost too painful to bear. Vanor couldn't imagine actually living after her passing. The world would seem empty somehow, as if a grace that had once walked there had slipped through h
is fingers.

The healers arrived swiftly, but Vanor didn't have the presence of mind to thank them. His entire life, the future of all Haverins hung on the balance.

"Put her on the bed, my lord," the head healer asked him. "Do you know the poison?"

Vanor shook his head grimly. Both he and Elias had toasted with Chloe, but in them, it didn't take a hold, at least not from a sip. He loathed the fact he couldn't help her by identifying the poison that was slowly draining the life from her.

She thought she was protected, he told himself furiously. She thought the messengers had provided protection for her, but it was only for food and drink, not actual poisons. We should have guarded against that.

The healer who had asked the question didn't waste any time. The chalices still stood on the tray and he took a deep sip. Vanor watched with silent admiration. Healers were known to practice the custom of familiarizing themselves with poisons by digesting them in small doses.

It took courage, considering how little gold there was in the man's deep blue eyes. He barely had any powers to fight the poison with, yet he'd taken a large sip, much larger than Chloe had, to save her life.

Whether his fated lived or died, Vanor vowed to repay the healer for his diligence.

The man frowned, looking at him with something akin to pity in his eyes.

"I believe I can save her," the healer said, "but it will not be painless for her."

Vanor had barely heard anything past the point where he said Chloe would live.

"Do what you must," he ordered roughly. "Don't let her die."

The healer nodded, fishing something from the bag he'd brought with him. It seemed to be a vial, looking eerily similar to the poison Chloe had drank – or at least the color of the deep red drink they had shared. Vanor glared at the healer.

"It's not the same thing," the healer hastened to say. "But it some similar components. I'm afraid the antidote must burn the poison from her veins."
